Mission Statement

Our mission is to:

  • Ensure accessible, affordable, and holistic healthcare for underserved communities, with a special focus on mental health, disability support, women’s health, and preventive awareness.
  • Promote inclusive, equitable, and lifelong learning opportunities through scholarships, digital literacy, vocational training, and support for learners with special needs.
  • Empower women and youth through legal literacy, financial independence, and skills development.
  • Conduct research and community-based initiatives that inform and strengthen programs in education, health, environment, and social justice.
  • Align all initiatives with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education), to drive meaningful and measurable impact.
  • Foster clean, green, and sustainable communities by encouraging environmental awareness, cleanliness drives, and plantation activities that enhance local surroundings and support SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land).

Programs

Accessible & Affordable Healthcare

We are committed to making healthcare services accessible and affordable for underserved communities in both urban and rural areas. Our initiatives include:

  1. General & Specialized Health Services
  • Organizing medical camps offering cardiac assessments, ocular examinations, and comprehensive health check-ups.
  • Hosting interactive sessions with physicians, with a special focus on gynaecologists and dentists providing essential primary care.
  • Facilitating access to free or subsidized treatments, medicines, and ambulance services for economically disadvantaged individuals.
  1. Mental Health & Disability Support

We focus on improving the quality of life for individuals with mental disabilities by:

  • Operating special schools and learning centers tailored to individual needs.
  • Designing customized learning plans implemented by trained special educators.
  • Providing training in life skills and basic academics using adaptive teaching methods.
  • Offering rehabilitative services including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, behavioral therapy, and psychological counseling.

  • Conducting vocational training in areas such as tailoring, digital skills, food processing, and crafts to improve livelihoods.
  • Organizing legal literacy campaigns to educate women about their rights, legal protections, and available social support systems.

  • Promoting cleanliness and sanitation in local communities through regular awareness drives and cleanliness campaigns.
  • Maintaining ecological balance by developing and sustaining gardens, plantations, and green zones.
  • Acquiring cultivated or uncultivated land (through public or private sources) for launching environmental and community-based green projects.

  • Integrate art into educational outreach; train rural and underprivileged youth with professional artist-led sessions.
  • Donate art supplies and offer financial aid to aspiring artists.
  • Document endangered art forms and fund related research and creative projects.

About Team

Dr Shivani Kasturia

President/Managing Trustee

Dr. Shivani currently serves as the Head of Takhte Writers & Publishers and Editor-in-Chief of Voice of Views (VOV). Takhte is a dynamic and fast-growing organization that offers professional support in writing and publishing books while fostering a nationwide community of emerging writers. In collaboration with UNESCO New Delhi, Takhte organized a Pan-India online essay contest for children and youth for three consecutive years (2019–2023). It also conducts ‘Writeshops’ focused on various literary forms to nurture creative expression among young minds. As a mark of national recognition, Dr. Shivani received an appreciation letter from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, for the publication Year 2 AC (After Coronavirus): A Future Imagined by Youth—a collaborative initiative that amplifies youth perspectives on a post-pandemic world.

She is an accomplished communication specialist and development sector professional with over fifteen years of experience working with NGOs in the fields of education and public health. Her expertise spans strategic communication, knowledge management, documentation, media relations, and community engagement. She has held key roles with leading organizations such as the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), FHI 360, PCI International, and the Indian Red Cross Society, contributing significantly to impactful health and education initiatives across diverse communities.

Dr. Shivani brings a strong foundation in both the theoretical and applied dimensions of communication. She has developed and disseminated high-quality, audience-specific content—ranging from grassroots awareness material to policy-oriented documentation. Her work reflects a deep commitment to education and health equity. She views knowledge as a transformative tool and actively contributes to initiatives promoting inclusive, learner-centred education, health literacy, and capacity building. Through innovative learning strategies and participatory communication approaches, she works to strengthen communities and advance sustainable development goals in the NGO sector. As a published author, editor, and creative writer, she brings clarity and insight to narrative-building, fostering dialogue, awareness, and behavioural change.

Academically, Dr. Shivani holds a PhD in Health Communication from Sri Venkateshwara University, Amroha (2025), and was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India in 2020. She holds a Master’s in Mass Communication from G.J. University, Hisar, a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Communication from Amity University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from G.J. University and a BA (Honours) in English from Delhi University.

Ashwini Kumar Singh

Advocate

Ashwini is a dynamic and research-driven legal professional currently practicing as an Advocate at the District and Sessions Court, Gurugram. With a BBA LLB (Hons) degree from The NorthCap University, Gurugram, Ashwini brings a powerful combination of academic depth and courtroom experience to the practice of law. His legal journey reflects a commitment to justice, research, reform, and advocacy.

Specializing in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Property Law, Gender Justice, and Jurisprudence, Ashwini also possesses advanced expertise in Cyber Law, with a focus on deep internet-related crimes. His unique approach integrates legal precision with meditative techniques to promote more effective and empathetic dispute resolution.

Beyond litigation, Ashwini is an active participant in legal academia and discourse. He has authored research papers on complex and emerging issues such as cybercrime on the dark web, repatriation of cultural property, and democratic structures. His writing on sensitive topics like marital rape reflects a dedication to legal reform and social justice.

Outside the courtroom, Ashwini is passionate about travel, social volunteering, and playing badminton—interests that reflect a well-rounded, grounded personality. His strong sense of civic responsibility and commitment to equitable legal outcomes drive their continued growth as a practitioner and contributor to India’s legal ecosystem.

Goldie Kasturia

General Secretary/Trustee

Goldie Kasturia is the Founder of Takhte Writers & Publishers, a literary firm committed to fostering a strong writing culture among children and youth across India. Under her visionary leadership, Takhte provides professional guidance in book writing and publishing, while also promoting creative literacy and expression.

Takhte continues to expand its impact through innovative platforms like Voice of Views (VOV)—a free online publishing space for children and youth to share thoughts on current issues—and the Potential Navigators of Knowledge (PNK) Awards, India’s first national awards dedicated to authors aged 19 and below.

Goldie is an accomplished author, writer, and editor. She co-authored Artists of India: Modern and Contemporary Art, a book appreciated by Former Vice President Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu and acknowledged by the Chief Ministers of Gujarat and Uttarakhand. The book was also shortlisted by the National Book Trust for international book fairs in Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Cairo, Mexico, and Sharjah.

Goldie has authored numerous research papers published in national and international journals, contributing to academic discourse in literature, art, and education. She has authored CBSE Fine Arts curriculum books for classes IX–XII and has trained over 1,000 students across schools and institutions in creative writing, fiction, poetry, and drama. Goldie is invited annually by the National Book Trust to conduct writing workshops at the World Book Fair in New Delhi

She holds a Master’s in English Literature from Delhi University, and also Senior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture (GoI) in same stream. She holds a professional certificate in Art Writing from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York.

Beyond her literary and academic accomplishments, Goldie is a passionate philanthropist committed to giving back to society through her involvement in educational and cultural initiatives.
